   To spread awareness I decided to present at the elementary school my sister and I attended when we were younger. I emailed my neighbor who actually works there and said she would talk to the principle at the school. The next day, I received an email that principal had approved of the presentation and believed it was a good idea to spread awareness. I would have presented on March 12, 2020.     

   Unfortunately, due to the Corona virus, I wasn't able to present at the elementary school. I have provided the link of the presentation I would have presented. In the slides, I didn't write as much because it was just a way of me knowing what to talk about and what to explain, but I wanted to help younger children understand how to comfort/help someone who may have this disease. As well as how it is caused and it's a difficult disease to control. I was going to explain how type 1 diabetes is caused and what you can do to control it. I would also talk about my sister's experiences and how she was able to control her diabetes. I would explain the symptoms and why it is important to know this information. Lastly, I wanted to teach these students how they can spread awareness and events that donate money to find cures!
